The animation is not generated.

- Under the various GNU/Linux distributions, in theory, open source Flex should work with openjdk. But as you know, even if in theory there is no difference between theory and practice, in practice, there is (Jan Van de Sneptscheut).
You have imported a incompatible font.
- Flex need font managers lacking in the open source version. You have to add them.
- Download Flex 4.5.1 "Adobe add-ons" from the site Adobe open source .
- Unpack the archive in the directory flex_sdk which is in the folder where you installed Images Active in order to merge the files and overwrite files with the same name.
- Try again export.
The animation is generated but not displayed in the panel "Preview"
What is your operating system ?
- Currently, the preview may not be functional under GNU/Linux.
- If the preview does not work, check the "display the animation in the web browser" in the panel "Generate the animation"
Did you install a Flash player in your browser ?
- The preview panel ("Generate the animation") is a browser (webkit) that uses, to display the swf file, the same flash plugin that your browser.
- Install flash player in at least one of your browsers from Adobe’s website.
- If the preview does not work, tick the box "display the animation in the web browser" in the panel "Generate the animation"
The animation is generated but I can not open it outside of Images actives.
The preloading mechanism blocks the execution ?
- When it starts, the animation sends a signal to the website to stop the preloading. When a swf file running locally (ie on your hard disk), this signal may not be tolerated for safety reasons.
- In the panel "Generate the animation", untick the box "Enable the animation of preloading".
You do not know what software can open the swf file.
- You can open the swf file with a browser such as Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Internet Explorer, as long as you have installed the Flash player.
- Install Flash player in at least one of your browsers from Adobe’s website.
- You can also download the Flash player as a stand-alone application from this page.
I can not use the audio mode.
You did not install mp3 encoder ?
- For legal reasons, Images Actives does not contain any mp3 encoder.
- Under Windows, look on the internet (very easy) a file called "lame_enc.dll". Rename the "lame-enc.dll" (with a dash of 6) and paste it in the subdirectory sox in application directory.
- Under Mac, look for a file named libmp3lame.so. Make a right click on Images Actives (the icon representing the application) or ctrl + click and choose "Show Package Contents". Paste libmp3lame.so in the folder Contents / MacOS.
- This link will help you find the lame MP3 encoder you need.
- On Linux, you must recompile sox MP3 support. By following step by step this tutorial it works.
Your microphone is not working.
- Use the tools of your operating system to check that your microphone captures sound well.
I am having problems importing my images.
An incompatible format ?
- The image you want to import must be in jpeg, png, gif or tiff format.
Your image is too large ?
- The images are only supported up to the resolution: 2880 x 2880 so as not to consume excessive memory to the user.
You want to import a detail.
- You have done your cut-outs in an image processing software and would like to import them into the software Images Actives.
- Make sure your details are saved as jpeg, png, gif, tiff format and then import them by clicking on the button "Import an already cut-out detailed" in the tab "Create the details."
- You can then apply the functions available in this tab and associated comments.
I have problems to cut-out my details.
You have layouts nested or overlapping.
- You have to make multiple selections in the same detail, but you can not because they overlap.
- When you make your selection, hold down the Control key to allow you to make a selection over another selection.
You can not cut-out, with sufficient precision.
- We advise you to make your cut-outs in an image editing software such as Gimp, Photoshop or Photofiltre.
- You can then import them and position them with the button "import a detail" (It is at the bottom of the list of details).
- Wheeze : keep your details in an image the same size as the background without changing its location. Thus, it will position itself at the right place.
I don’t know how to transform my image active in stand-alone application.
You want to get an application ("projector") for Windows, MacOS ou GNU/Linux.
- Download a stand-alone flash player for your operating system from this page.
- Open your swf file and in the menu "File", select "Create a projection."
You want to create one application for tablet or smartphone.
- You must use the tool "adt" (from Adobe) that is not distributed with Images Active. Li>
- A tutorial will be online soon.
I do not understand the details functioning.
You want to change the details order.
- In the tab "Create details", arrows allow you to store your details in the order you want. Li>
- the current software (version 1.0), this order represents both the stacking order details of the image (when they overlap), equivalent to the z-index in a web page, and the display order of the legends in mode button and accordion.
You do not understand the use of chips.
- Sometimes you want to add more general comments on the image itself without having to choose a cutout, or ask questions relating to the whole image.
- Chips are small symbols that allow you to insert text without linking to a particular detail.
- When on mode button or accordion, chip symbols are not visible on the image, since the texts related to chips are available either through the bellows of the accordion or the number buttons.
The application does not launch.
When you launch the application, nothing happens ?
- If you can do so, open a command prompt, run IMAGES_ACTIVES.
- For example, under Windows, type something that should look like : « C:\Users\Nathalie\AppData\Roaming\IMAGES_ACTIVES\IMAGES_ACTIVES.exe »
- Under Mac, it would rather be : « Users/Nathalie/IMAGES_ACTIVES.app/Contents/MacOS/IMAGES_ACTIVES »
- And under GNU/Linux « /users/Nathalie/images_actives/IMAGES_ACTIVES.sh »
- You will get an error message that you can use to report your problem in the user-forum or perform bug-report.
Only the small startup screen appears, then nothing.
- If you can do so, open a command prompt, run IMAGES_ACTIVES_GUI (application graphic interface).
- For example, under Windows, type something that should look like: "C: \ Users \ Bernard \ AppData \ Roaming \ IMAGES_ACTIVES \ IMAGES_ACTIVES_GUI.exe"
- Under Mac, it would rather be : "Users / Bernard / IMAGES_ACTIVES.app / Contents / MacOS / IMAGES_ACTIVES_GUI"
- And under GNU/Linux : "/ users / Bernard / images_actives / IMAGES_ACTIVES_GUI"
- You will get an error message that you can use to report your problem in the user-forum or perform bug-report.
I do not understand preload options
You want to use and distribute your job as a file?
- Tick the boxes as follows in the panel "Parameters":
.
- So, your image active will not seek to disable the animation preloading, which is useless and may even cause problems on the user PC. Li>
- To go further, you can convert your swf file into an executable Windows, Mac OS or GNU/Linux. li>
- Download a standalone flash player for your operating system from this page.
- Open your swf file and in the menu "File", select "Create a projection."
Your image active is light and you want to put it online ?
- Untick the following boxes in the panel "Parameters" :
.
- Your image active will appear as a single file. Li>
- A preloading animation (without progress bar) will be displayed until the swf file is fully loaded in the user.
Your image active is heavy and you want to put it online ?
- Your image active has one or many high-definition images or sounds (audio mode).
- The animation preloading "core" is not enough because it is likely to remain displayed for too long without giving any information about the download progress. li>
- Tick the boxes as follows in the panel "Parameters":
.
- Your image active will appear as a light SWF file with image and sound files. li>
- preloading animation (no progress bar) will be displayed briefly at the user.
- Then, the user will see a progress bar for each image and sound, which would make the wait more bearable.
I have problems to put an image active online.
You did not put the correct files online ?
- All files generated when exporting should be placed on the server. Li>
- By default, these files are :
- your swf file
- the index.html file
- the swfobject.js file
- the loading.gif file
- If the boxe "Disable preloading" is ticked you do not need loading.gif. Li>
- If the boxe "Do not embed images and sounds" is ticked, you must also copy on the server the images and sounds files that may have been generated.
You have not properly arranged the files ?
- When you transfer the files to the server, you should not change their relative position. If you did it, then it is your responsibility to correct the paths in the index.html file. Li>
- If you do not have embedded images and sounds, you should be aware that an application flash always calculates its relative paths, not from the location of the swf file on the server but from the location html page that surrounds it.
You inserted the image active in your own web page ?
- The current image can be inserted into a web page like any other swf file. Li>
- If preloading mechanisms have not been deactivated, the active image called, when the loading is completed, the javascript function "stopPreload ()". In this case, it is your responsibility to implement this function in your web container. You will use it to stop the preloading mechanism.
This FAQ did not solved my problems.
Have you considered to visit the forum ?
- The Images Actives users community can probably help you : see the forum.
Why don’t you report your bug ?
- Your problem may have no solution, by now: if it is a bug, it must be related to the application developer. Li>
